Prison

What makes a prison?
Iron bars or hardend heart?
Potted flowers bloom.

  1. Interesting concept of having prison and flowers in the same haiku.

I've always loved the challenge of deciphering poetry, and haikus, just to understand what kind of message the author was/is conveying.

    Very nice...

    1. Thank you Alice. Looking at the flowers I wondered how they felt being confined to the pot...and from there I went into what is a real prison. Hopefully the haiku will mean something different to others. I think that is why I love this form of poetry.

  2. I think a hardened hard because wherever you are, if your heart is cold and hard, you will always be in a prison.

    1. A great way of looking at how we can create a prison without bars. Thank you.
